Kabuchai Constituency Member of Parliament, James Lusweti Mukwe, 53, was on Thursday evening airlifted to Nairobi by Amref helicopters for advanced medical attention after his health condition worsen.
The legislator has been sick for almost one week and was receiving treatment at a Bungoma West hospital. However, his condition worsened and he was taken for better treatment at Nairobi hospital.

The second term legislator said to have suffered a heart attack and had difficulties in breathing. He has been to and from the hospital since the beginning of the year. He has been undergoing medical checkups before his condition got worse.
According to ford Kenya officials, the legislator who has been at Bungoma West Hospital for over one week was flown in by Amref Air Ambulance and received at Wilson Airport by Ford Kenya leader Moses Wetang’ula, Kiminini Chris Wamalwa and Webuye West MP Dan Wanyama among others.
The Ford Kenya leader acknowledged the support by the parliamentary service commission for facilitating the airlifting.
