Lunga Lunga MP Khatib Mwashetani had to run to rescue his life after he was purportedly caught bribing voters in Msambweni.
MPs Khatib Mwashetani, Nelson Koech and ex-Machakos senator Johnstone Muthama are among those arrested in voter bribery in the constituency.
A video showing Lunga Lunga MP Khatib Mwashetani running away in Msambweni Constituency has appeared online.
The MP reportedly ran away after been found bribing voters. Nominated Senator Millicent Omanga claimed Mombasa Governor Ali Hassan Joho and his team were simply panicking.
