Mortein Doom has appointed award-winning Kenyan singer Wahu Kagwi as the brand ambassador for its new national anti-malaria campaign.
Wahu, who is married to fellow musician Nameless, will front the ‘Fight to End Malaria’ campaign.
“Women and mothers are the agents of change and the driving force behind bettering life for families, communities, and society as a whole in our country’s health, as well as many other sectors.”
Mortein’s parental company Reckitt said the decision to make Wahu the brand ambassador is aimed at raising public awareness about preventive measures while also reassuring people that the deadly disease is treatable and curable.
“This agreement aims to develop a cooperation between Mortein and Wahu to raise awareness about the ever-present threat of malaria in Kenya and our renewed commitment to eradicate the illness,” stated Asif Hashimi, Reckitt Kenya Country Manager.
