Nation Media group rebrand its news portal and websites after upgrading to subscription methods.
The Nation has been branded with a new logo with a new layout for its website and new web address to “Nation.Africa” from nation.co.ke, where readers will obtain content.
Nation Media Group Editorial Director Mr Mutuma Mathiu affirmed that the brand was extending to attend its pan African audience.
“We have reporters in most countries in Africa who serve news directly to us. The new site has been rolled out and we are moving and revamping our Africanicity strategy,” he explained.
Head of External Affairs and Marketing Clifford Machoka explained the new digital brand as a “culmination of the digital transformation journey.”
“It is going to be a user-driven process and we will be doing a lot of listening,” he said.
The rebranding is being performed in phases as confirmed in an internal memo sent to staff from NMG CEO Stephen Gitagama.
“I am fascinated to proclaim the commencement of our digital transformation journey through the phased launch of our digital brand – Nation.Africa,” the memo read.
The new website, “Nation.Africa” will feature the new logo and different colour palettes which will change based on different segments. The Lifestyle segment which has transformed features including the colour purple. Other different categories of content will have their outstanding colours.
