Lecturers, Human rights bodies and Knut have rejected a proposal for partial opening of schools in June. Parents meanwhile have challenged the government to open bars and churches before opening schools.

The Ministry of Education through the Cabinet Secretary proposed June as the best time yo open schools.

However, the pandemic seems to catch up with time.

” You cannot open schools first without opening businesses. Where are we going to get transport for the kids, school fees among other basic needs? ” Maureen Mukaya, a parent with two students in secondary school said.
