Those flying in Kenya from one destination to the other are in shock. The authorities reveal shocking academic qualification of the captains and Pilots.
A Pilot has been in the air for eight years with fake KCSE certificate.
Ahmad Nassir Dirie Olow was charged with making a false KCSE certificate for the 2007 national exam implying it to be from the Kenya National Examination Council.
According to the police report, Olow presented the false document to Lt. Col. Amin Ali, the head of training at Ninety Nines Flying School in Wilson Airport on July 30, 2011.
The guy who scored D (Plain) had a fake certificate reading B+(plus). He used the same document to enrol in the aviation school until his graduation.
The Pilot has been flying across East Africa and Kenyan different destinations for eight years.
However, after regular scrutiny, the official found that he did not get the indicated grade from the Ministry of education agency KNEC.
Olow denied the charges before Nairobi Chief Magistrate Martha Mutuku on Tuesday, January 26, and was released on Sh50,000 cash bail.
The case has been scheduled for mention in February.
