Police in Nairobi are now moving to homesteads and searching for people without masks in their bedrooms. At Kamukunji, Police moved to several homes(Single rooms and bedsitters) arresting people families who did not wear masks in their houses.
In a video that was shared online shows Police in harassing people inside their bedrooms for not wearing masks.
However, Nairobi residents want the Interior CS Fred Matiangi to help them as the majority who are in quarantine centres were taken out of their homes.
The Police in the video shows how the rotten system is harassing innocent residents according to an activist Boniface Mwangi.
” One of the Police does not have a mask while the other is at the chin. The Police are evacuating people from their bedrooms from not wearing a mask, ” the activist added.
The move comes after another family was arrested inside their gated home taking supper. They were outside their house but inside their perimeter wall at Athi River. The Police said that they were faulting curfew rules.
So the police will come at and arrest you in your house for not putting on your mask.#Diana#wanjohi
