However, the National Security Council and Parliamentary approval are required for military deployment, so they declined the requests.

The Kenyan President sought military deployment at the KICC amid protests; military leaders resisted the move, maintaining their stance.
To bolster the CBD egents, four police choppers, including those used by the Deputy President, were released into the air.
All GSU from the Allsops camp have been instructed to head to the Nairobi CBD immediately. The problem is that they can’t use Thika Road. The military is on high alert regarding potential access to the statehouse if all the barriers are breached today.
