According to reports, the high-ranking member of the National Intelligence Service (NIS), who purportedly executed himself by shooting his skull, was battling with melancholy at the time of his death.
There is an inscription left by Tom Adala, who is 54 years old, according to an investigation that was submitted at the Kilimani Police Station.
Adala purportedly used his pistol and fired at himself on the upper right edge of his skull, with the bullet escaping on the left side of his head, as stated in the report.
According to the autopsy report, the deceased had been struggling with despair for a few years.
As he was on his way back to his flat in the upmarket Kirichwa Gardens neighbourhood of Kilimani on Monday, Francis Oduor, his brother’s nephew, revealed that he had died. He stated that he had seen him for the final time on Monday.
In his report to the authorities, Oduor stated that the deceased did not appear until nine in the morning the next day, which prompted him to go upstairs to double-check on him.
DCI questioned the security official at the entrance to determine whether he was experiencing it or not.
After searching the entire facility, he discovered his body in the rooms reserved for the servants, according to the authorities.
He then informed other family members who had previously reported the incident to authorities.
At the site, the police discovered one expended cartridge and a magazine loaded with three bullets, as well as a message written in a black notebook in an attempt to commit suicide.
Adala penned, “Nobody should bear the blame for this.” Adala wrote this at the very end of the final note he left behind after his suicide.
In the absence of a court order, Saddique Shaban, a former journalist for KTN, asserts that child support was withdrawing three-quarters of Adala’s earnings from his paycheck.
The veteran journalist was curious as to which member of the administrative structure at NIS had the authority to sanction the deduction without a court ruling.
At the National Intelligence Service (NIS), which is the government’s intelligence organisation, his ex-wife, Habiba Sebi, is also a senior officer.
It is believed that she was the one who pushed him to his death after filing her divorce petition in court.
Who within the National Intelligence Service’s administrative structure authorised a three-quarter deduction from Tom Adala’s paycheck to pay child support without a court order?
Is it possible that Tom’s ex-wife, Habiba Sebi, who also works at NIS, was the one who ultimately led to his death? Shaban sent out a tweet.
