Ledama OleKina gets relief after court blocks Senate committee  removal move

The High Courts give hope to the Narok Senator Ledama Olekina after blocking the move at the senate removing him from a powerful senate committee.

The high court has tentatively suspended the Speaker of the Senate from eliminating Senator Ledama Olekina from the rank of Chairperson County Public Accounts and Investments Committee.

Justice Weldon Korir has declared as an urgent case filed by the senator questioning the decision to remove him from the position.

Judge Korir on Monday ruled that unless he issues the orders, then the petition may be overtaken by events.

The matter will be mentioned on May 14 for further direction on hearing of the application.
