Senator Susan Kihika ignites the internet over her dowry ceremony with tycoon Sam Mburu

Nakuru Senator Ms Susan Kihika customary marriage to her businessman Sam Mburu stirs the internet as members of the public congratulated her.

Social Media lit a mixed reaction from political, social and religious humour as well as the ongoing debate on the Building Bridges Initiatives (BBI) report and the 2022 General Election.

Ms Susan Kihika, popularly known as ”The Iron Lady of Nakuru”, got married at a colourful event on Saturday at her family ranch in Marmanet, Laikipia County.

“I salute Susan for such a decision. Balancing a relationship and making it lead to marriage while in politics is not easy. She deserves a man who will treat her like a queen. That is what most ladies long for. Chase your dreams and the rest will follow,” wrote Rose Waithira.

Deputy President William Ruto was part of the dowry negotiation team saying was delighted that his best friends were uniting in marriage.

“Congratulations Senator Susan Kihika and Samuel Mburu on this magnificent milestone. Our best wishes and love as you build your lives together,” DP Ruto wrote on Twitter.

However, on the DP Ruto Hustler Movement netizens said he failed to convince his ally Ms Kihika to marry a HUSTLER.

“When it comes to things to do with the heart you belong to the millionaires’ cocoon. You have seriously disappointed and discouraged boda-boda and handcart people.”

“I hope you have gifted them with wheelbarrows for their next lives, Sir, ” Odhiambo said.

“BBI has made the man pay dowry. BBI is the way to go. We hustlers support it fully since we have started seeing its fruits, ” Juma posted.

Many politicians graced Senator Ms Kihika ceremony, among them MPs Aisha Jumwa (Malindi), Caleb Kositany (Soy), Kimani Ichung’wah (Kikuyu) and Moses Kuria (Gatundu South).
