Tanzanian authorities have rubbished claims that their truck drivers tested positive of Coronavirus.

The Tanzania government has raised an alarm to the Kenyan authorities to find out on the matters associated with China deployed kits.

“And if that cannot be possible, the owners of goods being transported to Kenya should come for them at the border as our drivers will have no other option but to leave them in Namanga,” Longido District Commissioner Frank Mwaisumbe said during his visit to the Namanga immigration offices.

” How can you test truck drivers in Tanzania using your Kits from Kenya? You are testing our people from our soil. Those tests are unreliable. We have just found out that it was just games, ” he added.

On Thursday, eight truck drivers from Tanzania who tested positive for coronavirus at the Namanga border point were deserted after they were denied entry into Kenya after they tested deserted.
