MP Oscar Sudi responds to DP Rigathi Gachagua’s caution against Rift Valley leaders meddling in Mt Kenya politics, asserting he won’t be intimidated and highlighting his role in campaigning nationwide for the government.
Sudi claims that the deputy president has been targeting him for a long time, and it was his right to respond.
The verbal showdown between Kapseret MP Oscar Sudi and Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua is heating up. Speaking at AIC Kipkorgot Church in Kapsoya Ward, Ainabkoi Constituency on Sunday, May 26, 2024, Sudi made it clear that DP Gachagua would not intimidate him.
This follows Gachagua’s remarks on Saturday, where he cautioned Rift Valley leaders, including Sudi, against interfering in Mt. Kenya politics.
“You cannot control where I go. If we all stayed in our respective constituencies, then we could not be in government. We had to fly all over the country to ask Kenyans to elect this government. I am not someone you can threaten.
“Despite receiving numerous threats, I remain unmoved. I received this information from Ruto. He passed it on to me because now he is concentrating on national matters. So I have to continue doing this in any part of the country,” Sudi responded.
