Jacob Nestor Kavai, who was 13 years old and dominated the stage during an Azimio la Umoja rally that took place in Vihiga in February 2022, has passed away, and his family in Chavakali is grieving his passing.
Once he stood up in front of a large audience and addressed lawmakers and fans of the political alliance, Kavai’s video quickly went viral.
In the footage that has since gone viral, the young person is seen establishing a connection with Murang’a Woman Representative Sabina Chege, who then hands her the microphone so she may address the throng.
Kavai captivated the audience with his convincing impression of Raila Odinga’s voice and confident proclamation that the ODM leader is going to become the 5th President of Kenya.
After that, he proceeded to seek cash from the governor of Mombasa, Ali Hassan Joho, claiming that he’d been the provider for his family and that he was taking good care of his sick grandfather and father.
On March 21, 2023, it was determined that Kavai had passed away due to severe pneumonia that he had been suffering from.
John Kavai, the adolescent’s uncle, disclosed that the young man had been hospitalized for a period of two months, but he ultimately did not survive.
“It is a sad fact that he passed away at the young age of 13 from pneumonia. As a family, we are grieving the loss of a loved one, and we welcome help from everyone.
According to what he claimed, “He had been unwell for about two months, and he died while he was getting medicine in the hospital.”
Before he became ill, Kavai would spend his days off wandering the cities of Chavakali, Mbale, and Kisumu rather than attending school.
In these communities, he had a well-deserved reputation for his ability to keep the residents who came to hear him speak and pray for them entertained at the same time. Whatever meagre assistance he could get from the throng, he brought back to his sick father.
“Ever since he was a very small child, he had a passion for preaching; he had a strong desire to become a pastor, and he constantly took what he got from well-wishers into the house.”
He never withheld the best for his grandmother and father,” his uncle remembers. “He always preserved the finest for his grandmother and father.”
According to John Kavai, young Kavai always managed to find a way out of the house in order to go to the markets, despite the fact that his parents did not support the endeavours that he pursued.
