The head coach of Paris, Christophe Galtier, spoke with Canal+ and added, “Clearly, there is cause for sadness. Nonetheless, we were all aware that tonight would not result in anybody qualifying or being eliminated.
“Bayern put pressure on us when we were lacking in depth. I had a sneaking suspicion that if we continued to play like that, without depth and without verticality, the first half would be extremely difficult for us. Sadly, they scored just as I was about to throw Mbappé into the game.”
