Detectives rob a businesswoman of more than K129,000. (Sh 845,271)
Philis Sichinga, a businesswoman from Lusaka who resides in Matero Township, has accused police of robbing her of more than K129,000 (Sh 845,271) in cash while they were looking for a possible thief.
The woman and her family were frightened by an event that occurred on November 17, 2023, when the aforementioned policemen went to pick up the woman’s salesperson, who they believed to be in possession of a stolen phone.
The cops reportedly entered the woman’s bedroom and grabbed the money because of their activities, according to Diamond TV.
During an interview with Diamond News, Sichinga claims that the cops also took her refrigerator, radio, and a K30,000 Kazang machine.
Speaking to reporters for clarification, Police Spokesperson Rae Hamoonga stated that the fridge—which is purportedly stolen—was obtained by the police.
Despite the fact that investigations have been launched, Hamoonga has refuted the claim that money was taken.
