Govt set to arrest Kabaddi players over Iran travel dispute

Ministry officials are threatening to arrest Kabaddi players over a travel dispute and miscommunication by national officials.

The Kenyan national Kabaddi team has taken refuge at the Talanta Plaza, which is located within the Sports Ministry.

The team is currently based in the Sports PS Peter Tum reception area.

The team had planned to leave for Iran today to compete in the Men’s Beach World Cup, but circumstances have prevented the trip.

However, the players assert that despite the approval of the trip’s budget two months ago, they have endured unending delays.

Given the approaching departure deadline and the expectation that they will arrive in Iran by the 20th, the situation has reached a critical point.

The team has remained steadfast in their refusal to leave the premises until their concerns are addressed, despite the fact that officials from the Ministry have reportedly threatened to have the players arrested if they do not vacate the premises.
