Families suspect remains at City Mortuary belong to Steve Mbisi and Karani Muema among the abducted by masked men with guns and handcuffs who bundled the Mlolongo four young men.
On the morning of December 17, 2024, in the Kathangaita area of Mlolongo, Machakos County, 35-year-old Steven Mbisi Kavingo was reportedly abducted from his home by four masked men.
Witnesses described the abductors as wearing caps and masks, with one dressed in blue, another in pink, and another in red.
They arrived in a vehicle, quickly seized Mr Kavingo, bundled him into the car, and sped off. The swiftness of the operation left little opportunity for onlookers to react or document the incident.
Now, two more remains believed to be part of the four men abducted from Mlolongo on December 17 are likely at the City Mortuary.
Their families now suspect the unidentified remains, delivered on December 19, belong to Steve Mbisi and Karani Muema.
Mortuary attendants informed them that identification would take place on Saturday.
