Khalif Kairo in court, more complainants file fraud charges

Controversial second-hand car dealer Joseph Kairo Wambui, popularly known as “Khalif Kairo,” was arraigned at Milimani Law Courts in Nairobi over multiple charges of failing to honour vehicle sale agreements.

The hearing involving controversial second-hand car dealer Joseph Kairo Wambui, popularly known as “Khalif Kairo,” at the Milimani Law Courts in Nairobi has been pushed to 2 PM after more complainants sought to be enjoined in the matter.

He faces multiple charges related to failing to honour vehicle sale agreements. According to sources, Kairo was taken into custody following allegations of fraud and obtaining money by pretence.

These charges stem from incidents where he reportedly accepted payments for vehicles that were either not delivered or were involved in disputes over ownership.

His arrest and subsequent court appearance have been widely discussed, with more sources indicating his appearance in court was scheduled for a hearing regarding bail; however, more complainants requested to join the case.
