What’s the real reason behind Turkana classroom demolition?

The classroom in Turkana County, which comedian Eric Omondi built, has been taken down because it did not follow the correct building rules set by the local government.

Wiljustus Lopeyok Akwalata, who is in charge of education in the county, ordered the demolition.

He said the classroom made of iron sheets was not built properly and that Eric Omondi did not follow the right steps when constructing it.

This decision has made many people upset and has started a lot of discussions. Many believe that tearing down the classroom was not needed because the community really needs schools.

Before this classroom was built, children had to study outside under trees because there were not enough proper school buildings.

Some critics on social media and in news articles have questioned why the county government made this choice.

They are worried about what will happen to the children who were using that classroom and now back under the tree and how this affects education and development in the community.
