Mombasa County Assembly Speaker Khatri Aharub is creating a lot of talk in the city after he was seen driving a fancy Lamborghini Urus out of the Governor’s office.
Aharub, who is well-known for his strong connections with Mombasa’s political leaders, caught everyone’s attention with this expensive SUV, which cost over Sh 48 million before taxes.

Witnesses said they saw Aharub, often called “Aroro” by the people, leave the county headquarters in the luxury car around 10:00 AM.
Some people praised his flashy style, while others questioned where he got the money for such an expensive vehicle, especially since the county has many development issues.
Before he became a politician, Aharub was a well-known businessman. He was elected as Speaker in 2022 without any competition.
His time in this role has been full of influence and some controversy, including past accusations about his wealth being linked to suspicious business deals. He has always denied these claims.
The Lamborghini Urus is very expensive and powerful, with a 650-horsepower engine, which fits his flashy image.
