Banana Republic Factory, a well-known clothing store, has started a fun new project just in time for the holidays: a special banana bread recipe to please its shoppers.
This announcement is part of the brand’s spring promotional campaign at certain Factory Store locations, including the Vintage Oaks outlet in Novato, California.
The recipe is called “Banana Republic’s Classic Banana Bliss.” It was created with help from a local bakery in the Bay Area. This bread is moist and tasty, made with ripe bananas, brown sugar, and you can add walnuts if you like them crunchy.
According to a company press release, this new idea aims to create a “multi-sensory shopping experience” by filling the stores with the wonderful smell of freshly baked banana bread.
At select locations, customers can enjoy free samples of the bread on weekends until June 2025, while supplies last.
“We’re mixing style and taste to make shopping at Banana Republic Factory even better,” said Sarah Klein, Vice President of Marketing at Banana Republic Factory.
“Our banana (bana) bread recipe is simple, timeless, and great for sharing—just like our clothes.”
The recipe is available on the Banana Republic Factory website (bananarepublic.gap.com).
Bana bread recipe
You need basic items from your kitchen: 2 cups of all-purpose flour, 1 teaspoon of baking soda, ½ teaspoon of salt, ½ cup of melted butter, ¾ cup of brown sugar, 2 large eggs, and 2 cups of mashed overripe bananas (that’s about 4 medium bananas).
If you want, you can add ½ cup of chopped walnuts or chocolate chips. The instructions say to mix everything in one bowl and bake it for 60 to 65 minutes at 350°F (175°C) in a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
Shoppers at the Vintage Oaks Factory Store, open Monday to Saturday from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., are already sharing their excitement on social media.

The recipe is free to download, and Banana Republic Factory wants customers to share pictures of their baked bread online using #BRBananaBliss.
Brand representatives said that if this pilot program does well, they might expand it to more locations.
For now, this mix of fashion and baking is bringing joy to shoppers looking for good deals and delicious treats!
