It Took 40 Years to Bloom, Now I’m Too Rich to Be Ignored

I was totally defeated by the time I was forty. No land, no car, no house, not even a decent bed to call my own. I dreamed of huge aspirations. However, I was constantly reminded by life that I wasn’t among the fortunate.

I had followed all of their instructions, which included working honestly, praying, respecting others, and studying hard.

Still, nothing. I was borrowing money only to buy airtime, while my classmates were posting vacations, buying plots, and driving fancy automobiles.

It was embarrassing. I would lie about what I was doing if I saw somebody I went to school with. I would say, “Things are coming together,” even though I was secretly breaking down.
