Kithure Kindiki: Youth to get Ksh50,000 from next week

Deputy President Kithure Kindiki has introduced a new financial programme to help young people in Kenya who want to start their own businesses.

He announced that those who are part of the National Youth Opportunities Towards Advancement (NYOTA) Programme will get Ksh50,000 each starting this month.

Speaking at a youth event in Nairobi, Kindiki said that the government wants to help young people grow the economy.

“This Ksh50,000 starts this month!” he said, adding that the money is meant to assist small businesses and create jobs.

The NYOTA Programme aims to support young Kenyans with financial help and skills training. Many people see this as a positive step to reduce unemployment.

However, there is still no information about how many people will receive this money or how they can apply for it, but you can visit their website, Nyota Project Kenya.

The announcement has received mixed reactions. Some youth groups are happy about the initiative, while others are asking for more information on how it will work.

The Deputy President’s office is expected to share more details about the application process soon.
