Before, I didn’t think these things were true. I always assumed such ancestors and ancient word legends were only folklore. But perhaps you will see why I changed my heart if I tell you what occurred to me. I was going through too much at one point. It was a tough job. My spouse had grown aloof and chilly. My children were often ill. My life didn’t feel right.
Even when I made an effort to attend church or pray, I felt as though something was lacking. I recalled something my great-grandmother used to say when things were tough, one evening as I sat outdoors by myself and gazed up at the sky. She would repeatedly speak one sentence while bending over and touching the ground. I never enquired about its meaning. I didn’t care because I was young.
