I believed that my life was finally improving when I was given the long-awaited promotion at work. I had been working at the same firm for more than ten years, was 38 years old, and had two children. My folks were pleased. What about my wife? She was ecstatic. That weekend, we were going to celebrate alone. However, I didn’t think that happiness would endure only four days.
