Mulamwah And Ruth K apologise for posting their nvde content

Kenyan comedian and content creator David Oyando, popularly known as Mulamwah, has issued a public apology to his fans and ex-partner Ruth Njoki Karegi, known as Ruth K, after a highly publicised online dispute escalated on June 19, 2025.

The altercation, which unfolded across social media platforms, involved both parties exchanging serious accusations, including the sharing of private photos and videos, drawing widespread attention and criticism from fans and celebrities alike.

The feud began when Ruth K accused Mulamwah of disrespecting her post-breakup, alleging he sent her KSh 5,000 and then reversed the transaction, among other grievances.

She claimed to have faced public and private disrespect since their split in April 2025, stating, “It’s been barely three months since the breakup, and I’ve faced disrespect in ways you wouldn’t even imagine.”

Mulamwah retaliated with a lengthy post, blaming Ruth for their breakup, accusing her of spreading false rumours about his health, including claims he was HIV positive, and disrespecting his family.

The situation intensified when Mulamwah allegedly shared a private video of Ruth with her family, prompting her to admit to circulating his private photos in retaliation.

The public nature of the dispute, which included Mulamwah posting on their son’s Instagram account and Ruth briefly sharing a private image of Mulamwah on her stories, sparked outrage among fans and drew intervention from Kenyan celebrities.

Musician Kevin Bahati urged the pair to resolve their issues privately, citing the emotional toll on their child and quoting James 1:20 to emphasise peace.

Comedian Terence Creative expressed relief when the drama subsided, stating, “Thank you, Mulamwah and Ruth, for ending this. We forgive and pray for you.”

Late on June 19, Mulamwah issued a heartfelt apology on Instagram, acknowledging his actions were driven by emotion but unjustified. “I have retraced my steps… Poleni sana to the fans; I have disappointed lots of you in so many ways. Pole sana to R.K. Mama Oyando. I forgive you; I hope you forgive too,” he wrote.

Ruth K also apologised, reflecting on her struggles as a single mother and committing to personal growth. “I know today’s posts may have come off the wrong way, and I take full responsibility,” she said, emphasising her focus on raising their son, Kalamwah.

The apologies have been met with mixed reactions, with some fans praising the pair for taking accountability while others criticised the public airing of personal matters.

As the dust settles, both Mulamwah and Ruth K have pledged to focus on co-parenting and their respective careers, with fans hoping for a resolution away from the public eye.
