Kenyan comedian David Oyando, known as Mulamwah, and his ex-girlfriend Ruth Njoki Karegi, also called Ruth K, have caused a big stir on social media. They have leaked private videos and photos of each other, including some explicit content, during a very public breakup, which are trending on Telegram.

Their disagreement started with some accusations and has become very personal and controversial, attracting attention and criticism from many fans and public figures.
This conflict began in April 2025 when Mulamwah announced that he had separated from Ruth K, who is the mother of his son, Kalamwah, after they had been together for almost four years.
At first, the breakup seemed friendly, and both tried to stay quiet about it. However, things got heated on June 19, 2025, when Ruth K accused Mulamwah of being disrespectful to her, both online and in private. She claimed that he took back a payment of KSh 5,000 he had sent her and shared her photos without asking.
In a heartfelt post on Instagram, Ruth expressed her pain, saying, “It’s been just three months since we broke up, and I’ve faced disrespect in ways you can’t even imagine… I’m trying to heal, but it’s very hard.”
Mulamwah responded angrily, blaming Ruth for their breakup and accusing her of spreading false rumours about him, including claims that he was HIV positive in a WhatsApp group with 84 women. He also claimed that she disrespected his family and moved out to Ruaka because of jealous friends.
Things took a shocking turn when Mulamwah shared private videos and photos of Ruth, including explicit ones they had exchanged during their relationship, and even sent a private screenshot to her father.
Ruth K admitted that she had shared Mulamwah’s private images in the past but said she would not release them to the public. She accused him of emotional manipulation, claiming he had threatened to leak her private video after already sending it to her father.
The situation became even worse when Mulamwah posted explicit content on the Instagram account of their son, which upset many fans who felt this was not right.
Ruth K then shared multiple intimate and explicit pictures on her Instagram story, damaging Mulamwah’s reputation.
By the evening of June 19, 2025, both Mulamwah and Ruth publicly apologised. Ruth expressed her regrets, mentioning her responsibilities as a single mother and her focus on her son, while Mulamwah admitted that his actions were wrong. Musician Bahati suggested they should resolve their issues quietly and reminded them of the emotional impact on their child.
