Everyone thought it would be the best wedding ever. The decorations were beautiful, the place sparkled with chandeliers, and guests wore fancy clothes like it were a royal event.
It looked like a fairy tale from the outside. But inside me, I felt a storm of emotions I couldn’t keep hidden anymore.
His name was Dennis. We had been together for three years. Many people saw him as charming and kind, the perfect man. But I knew another side of him. He could lie, manipulate, and make me doubt myself.
I caught him cheating many times, but he always twisted the story so well that I began to question my own mind. Still, like many women, I stayed with him, thinking things would improve.
I told myself that once we were married, he would change. But what broke me was finding out just a week before the wedding that he had been with my cousin and laughing about it with his friends.
