How women broke shop, bees swarm on faces until they confess

Even though I’ve lived in Umoja for years and witnessed a few oddities, nothing compares to what transpired in Aunty Jane’s store last week. Now, even our estate’s most audacious crooks are being cautious. Because we experienced actual spiritual justice—the type you only hear about in stories—for the first time in our lives. It all began when Aunty Jane’s mini-market was broken into. She has been operating the store for more than five years and is a kind, diligent woman.

She sells everything, including baby supplies, milk, wheat, soap, and snacks. We all adored her for her generosity, and her business was her pride. But everything changed on a Tuesday morning. When Aunty Jane got there to open her grocery, she discovered the main lock cut clean on the floor. During the night, the door had been forced open.
