Tanzanian Bongo Flava star Mbosso Khan has stirred excitement with a candid revelation during a recent Wasafi FM interview, stating that his hit song “Bonge la Dada” vixen Queen Fraison is landing more performance bookings than he does as the main artist.
The comment, made during a lively discussion on July 7, 2025, has gone viral, with clips circulating on social media igniting debates about the song’s massive popularity and its cultural impact across East Africa.
Mbosso, born Mbwana Yusuf Kilungi, released “Bonge la Dada” (translated as “Curvy Gorgeous Lady”) as part of his 2025 EP Room Number 3 under his newly launched Khan Music label.
The track, also known as “Aviola”, blends soulful Bongo Flava melodies with romantic lyrics praising a woman’s beauty and confidence, resonating deeply with fans.
According to posts from sources, Mbosso humorously noted, “Nowadays Bonge la Dada anapata shows kuliko mimi mwenyewe msanii” (the song vixen gets more shows than me, the artist).
The statement reflects the song’s dominance, with over 10 million streams on Boomplay and frequent airplay on Tanzanian radio stations.
The interview, hosted by Diva The Bawse on Lavi Davi, was meant to spotlight Mbosso’s latest projects, including hits like “Asumani” and “Machozi”.
However, his Bonge la Dada remark stole the show, with fans praising its catchy rhythm and danceable beats.
Fan wrote, “Mbosso’s Bonge la Dada is a whole vibe—no wonder it’s booking gigs on its own!”
Some fans speculated that Mbosso’s comment highlights the song’s vixen universal appeal, outshining even his own star power, while others noted the irony of a vixen overshadowing its creator.

The song’s success aligns with Mbosso’s reputation as a leading East African artist, with past hits like “Hodari” and “Nadekezwa” earning over 77 million YouTube views.
Bonge la Dada has also sparked a TikTok dance challenge, further boosting its reach.
As Mbosso prepares for performances at events like the Mwanza Festival, his interview has fuelled anticipation for his live shows, where fans hope to hear “Bonge la Dada” live.
