Residents of Nairobi County’s Kayole were shocked by a dramatic and strange episode involving a PCEA preacher who was originally from Kayole, Nairobi. The controversy culminated with a swarm of bees falling on him in public.
Although the pastor, who went by the odd moniker Pastor Kanyiri in the community, had been with the congregation for less than four years and was regarded by many as a charismatic preacher, there had long been a rumour that he was secretly having an inappropriate relationship with a member of the church choir.
Congregants had been speculating about the two’s strange conduct for months, but nothing had ever been verified. Sources said that on Friday afternoon, as Pastor Kanyiri was strolling through Siakago market, the situation took an entirely different turn.
