How Pastor Fell into River During Baptism Over Marine Spirit

A baptism ceremony turned scary on Sunday, August 3, 2025, when a local pastor was pushed into a river by a woman he was baptising, who many believe was influenced by a marine spirit. This unusual event happened at River Mathioya, where the Glory Light Church was holding a big baptism for new church members. Everything was going well until the ninth person, a middle-aged woman wearing a long white robe, entered the water.

As the pastor began to pray for her, suddenly the woman let out a loud scream, twisted her body, and pushed the pastor so hard that he fell backward and went under the water. One person in the crowd said, “It felt like we were watching a movie. One moment she was calm, and the next, she was acting wildly.” After pushing the pastor, the woman started yelling in a voice that sounded very different, claiming that she owned the river and warning others not to try to get rid of her.
