Man returns home on his burial day after years of searching

Residents of Kiamuringa village in Embu County were shocked to learn that a man they had buried two years prior had returned alive and well to his family’s property. As forty-year-old Daniel Muriuki calmly welcomed family who had thought they had grieved and buried him in 2023, neighbours came in great numbers, some saying prayers, others clutching their lips in amazement.

The family claims that in May 2023, Muriuki was a part of a gruesome traffic accident on the Embu–Meru route. A body was discovered close to the location, and the police had contacted them to identify it since it fit his description. The family was devastated, verified the identification, and within a week, plans for burial were made.

According to Peter, his younger brother, the family never really recovered from the catastrophe. Peter noted that “something about his death didn’t feel right.” “We couldn’t get rid of the feeling that there was more to the story, and it was too abrupt.” To read more click here.
