Thomas Frank on Eze snub: “Only want players proud to wear Spurs badge”

Tottenham manager Thomas Frank has stated that he only wants players who are fully dedicated to the club. His comments come after Crystal Palace player Eberechi Eze chose to join Arsenal instead of Spurs. Before Tottenham’s game against Manchester City, Frank told reporters that no player is more important than the club, and only those who are proud to play for Tottenham should be on his team.

He also provided updates on player injuries before Saturday’s match. Destiny Udogie is back in training but not ready to play yet. Yves Bissouma will not play, and Dejan Kulusevski is out for a longer time without a set return date.

Even with these injuries, Frank is hopeful about his team and believes they can play well against Manchester City, who started the season with a strong 4-0 win over Wolves.

Tottenham had a great start under Frank, winning 3-0 at home against Burnley, which made fans happy. The upcoming game at Manchester City will be more difficult, but Frank assures that the team is working hard on their game plan and is focused on getting better.

Regarding transfers, Frank confirmed that Tottenham is still looking to buy new players. He did not mention specific names but is confident the club will bring in at least one new player before the transfer window closes. He acknowledged that clubs usually want to make deals early, but it can be complicated. He is positive that Spurs will strengthen the team to maintain balance throughout the season.

Frank also emphasized the importance of Richarlison, who scored two goals in the opening match against Burnley. He considers Richarlison his main striker and praised his recent performances.

Frank has no intention of selling Richarlison and is planning his attack around him. He also mentioned the different options available for attacking positions, including Dominic Solanke, Brennan Johnson, Mohammed Kudus, and Mathys Tel, which allows for flexibility in tactics.

As Spurs continue to grow under their new manager, Frank made it clear that dedication and the right attitude will be important for anyone wanting to be part of the club. With the game against Manchester City coming up, Tottenham will face their first big challenge in this new chapter.

Mother and joyful journalist.
