Late at night on last Thursday, there was a loud and confusing situation at a popular hotel near the Jogoo area. A woman found out that her secret lover, a man who said he was a pastor, had borrowed all his clothes to impress her, even the shoes he was wearing.
Staff at the hotel reported that the woman, who is 32 years old and owns a salon in Suneka, came in happily with a man dressed nicely. He introduced himself as βMchungaji Benβ from Nairobi. They rented a room for the night, and everything seemed fine until when loud shouting came from Room 4.
Joyce, a receptionist at the hotel, said, βWe heard a woman shouting βMungu wanguβ and asking where the manβs clothes came from.
