Pregnancy is meant to be a season of joy, filled with baby kicks and nursery plans. But for me, it became a heart-wrenching ordeal when my unborn baby’s position put both our lives at risk. At first, everything felt perfect; I ate well, visited the clinic, and dreamed of motherhood. Then, as my belly grew, doctors delivered scary news: my baby was in a dangerous position, making delivery risky and possibly requiring surgery.
The fear of losing my child or my life crushed me. Nights were sleepless. Each kick from my baby was a bittersweet reminder of the danger we faced. I was terrified that labour could start at any moment and end in tragedy. Stress overwhelmed me, my family was anxious, and my husband couldn’t hide his worry.
