Man arrested for trespassing Parliament claims to be Ruto’s son

A man who broke into Parliament says he is President Ruto’s son. A 19-year-old guy discovered in Parliament buildings on the night of August 7, 2025, claims to be the son of President William Ruto.

According to court papers, authorities spotted Nelson Ibrahim Kidero, also known as Nelson Murithi, in the Bunge Towers parking lot without permission.

Kidero went to court on Thursday and was let off on the condition that he doesn’t do it again for a year.


Kidero went to court and was accused of accessing the legislative grounds without permission.

Magistrate Ekhubi told the young guy during the hearing that he should think about going to law school and becoming a magistrate in the future.

Kidero, on the other hand, turned down the offer to become a judge and informed the court that his ambition is to be a barista.

“Since this young guy came to court, people have been trying to get in touch with his family. Magistrate Ekhubi advised the uncle to encourage his father to care more for his kid.


The uncle told the court that he would be fully responsible for Kidero’s care.

Kidero was accused of breaking the law by entering the legislative grounds without permission, which is against Section 31(1)(a) and Section 31(2) of the Legislative Powers and Privileges Act, 2017.
