Overcoming business hurdles in Eldoret, my business kept failing

I’m Josephine, calling Eldoret home. I’ve always been the type who rolls up her sleeves at dawn, keeps things straight, and pours her heart into whatever she does. You know that old saying, Hard work pays off? Well, I bought into it hook, line, and sinker from a young age. Turns out, life’s got a few curveballs that don’t always swing your way. Over the years, I dipped my toes into all sorts of little ventures.
First, a cosy kiosk stocked with basics. Then, flipping colourful outfits at the market. Later, I even gave hair styling a whirl with a pop-up salon. Each one kicked off with a bang, smiles from folks, and steady foot traffic. But come a few months in, poof! Customers trickled away, or weird shortfalls ate up my profits. It got so bad, I started dodging the idea of starting fresh, wondering if success just wasn’t in the cards for me. One chilly December still haunts me. Thieves smashed my kiosk window and swiped every last item.
