BTS member Suga, whose real name is Min Yoongi, went live on Weverse on December 28, 2025. It marked his first solo broadcast in nearly two years. Fans around the world rushed to join as soon as the notification popped up.
Suga appeared relaxed in a black outfit and glasses. His hair looked longer and a bit wavy. He chatted calmly for about 20 minutes. At one point, fans heard meows in the background. Suga smiled, called the cat over, and introduced him to everyone.
The cat is a three-year-old black male named Tang. The name comes from “seoltang,” the Korean word for sugar. Suga said he adopted Tang from a friend. Tang weighs 6.4 kilograms and has a gentle personality. He likes chin scratches and belly rubs. Suga mentioned fellow member Jimin loves playing with Tang, even though Jimin is allergic.
Fans had suspected Suga had a black cat for years. Blurry photos from 2022 showed one in his home. But this was the first clear reveal. ARMY, the BTS fandom, went wild online. Clips spread fast, including one of fans in a theater cheering when they got the live alert.
Suga finished military service in June 2025. This was his first solo Weverse session since then. He has joined group lives, like the recent holiday one with all seven members. But fans missed his personal chats.
He kept the message simple. “It’s cold out, so take care of your health,” he said. Then he promised, “I’ll come back again soon.” No big announcements came, just a cozy year-end hello.
Suga also owns a dog named Holly, a brown toy poodle. Now with Tang, he has two pets. Fans joke he is becoming the ultimate cat dad in BTS.
The live peaked at millions of viewers and likes. Reactions poured in from Seoul to everywhere else. Many said it felt like a warm gift to end 2025.
BTS members are easing back into activities after service. All seven have finished now. Fans look forward to more in 2026.
Suga stays low-key but connects when he wants. This short live reminded everyone why they love his quiet style.
