Ingo Fiesta 2025 Impala Club: Luhya Stars Light Up Nairobi

The much-anticipated Ingo Fiesta 2025 Impala Club edition explodes tomorrow, Saturday 6 December, at the historic Impala Grounds along Ngong Road, bringing together thousands from the Mulembe Nation for the biggest Luhya cultural party of the year. Gates swing open at 2 p.m., with the first beats dropping shortly afterwards, promising an unforgettable celebration of music, food, dance, and pure Mulembe pride under one roof.

The Ingo Fiesta 2025 Impala Club stage features a lineup of notable Luhya figures. Harry Richie, renowned for his Ingokho rhythm, leads the crowd alongside Steve Kay, whose timeless hits continue to fill dance floors from Kakamega to Kitale.

Opeta wa Musungu and Amoh Aboy, hailing from Lubao, infuse the stage with fresh energy, while Sukuma Bin Ongaro’s signature high-energy Ingwe vibes consistently captivate grandmothers. Rounding out the lineup are crowd favourites Joseph Shisia and Vincent Ongidi, plus hilarious hosts MC Nyamu and MC Senjee, who guarantee laughter between every song.

Organisers have declared the official dress code as Ankara and denim, and Nairobi is already awash with colour. Tailors in Ngara and Gikomba report selling out of kitenge fabric as families plan matching outfits. “I have made twenty family sets since Monday,” laughed Mama Fatuma, a veteran seamstress on Accra Road. “Everyone wants to shine at Impala tomorrow.”

Tickets are moving faster than expected. Advance single tickets are priced at 1500 shillings; regular couples pay 2500 shillings, while VIP access costs 5000 shillings per person. Special group packages and VIP couple deals are also available for those arriving in style. The easiest way to secure entry remains the USSD shortcut *826*98#, which thousands used within hours of going live on Wednesday. Physical tickets are still available at selected Airtel shops in Westlands, CBD, and Ngong Road.

Food lovers are in for a treat. Over fifty vendors will serve authentic Mulembe dishes, including chicken ingokho prepared the traditional way, mounds of ugali fresh from wood fires, rivers of mala, and mountains of tsinduma. The organisers promise free ingokho tasting zones for early arrivals, while premium meat grills will run deep into the night for VIP sections.

Transport plans are already in place. Shuttle Matatus bearing Ingo Fiesta branding will run from Burton, All Saints Cathedral, and Kenya National Archives at noon, returning until the last reveller leaves. Those driving will find expanded parking at the Impala and the neighbouring Rugby Union grounds, with security teams on duty throughout.

The Ingo Fiesta 2025 Impala Club marks the first time the annual celebration returns to its original Nairobi home after two years of regional tours. Last year’s edition in Kakamega drew over 18,000, and organisers believe tomorrow will break that record. “Nairobi has waited long enough,” said the lead organiser, Caleb Simiyu. “We are bringing the village to the city, and the city will dance like never before.”

As the sun sets over Ngong Road tomorrow, one thing is certain: the sound of ingokho drums will echo across the city, Ankara prints will flood every corner of Impala Club, and the Mulembe Nation will remind Kenya exactly why their culture refuses to stay quiet.
