Women on TikTok in Kenya have made it clear they will not stand with Hannah Benta during her current video leak scandal. Many say her past behaviour makes it hard to feel sympathy, even as private clips of her circulate widely on Telegram and TikTok.
The decision came out in several videos and comments over the past few days. Creators pointed to old claims about Hannah. Some said she was involved in a revenge move, sharing or threatening to share private videos of other women.
One big accusation is that she once bragged about having more than 200 adult videos of different women on her phone. She informed her followers that her ex, Captain Samir, destroyed the phone in order to eliminate those videos. That story went around months ago and has come back now.
Other allegations are more serious. A number of TikTok users claim Hannah promoted prostitution. They say she paid young women KSh 5,000 each and took them to Captain Samir for sex.
Posts also accuse her of violence against women and blackmail. Because of these stories, many female creators say they cannot defend her, no matter how wrong the leaks are. One popular comment read, “We won’t support someone who hurt other women the same way.”
At the same time, the same group has called out Captain Samir. They blame him for sharing Hannah’s private videos online. Some say he did it out of revenge after their breakup.
Hannah herself has denied many of the old claims and recently said Samir is not the father of her baby boy. She even offered to do a DNA test to prove it.
The leaks started trending just weeks after Hannah gave birth. She had been sharing happy updates about motherhood and her new apartment in Kilimani. Fans liked those posts.
But once the intimate clips appeared, the mood shifted. Channels on Telegram filled up fast, and links spread on TikTok. Hannah broke down in one live video, saying she felt betrayed.
Not everyone agrees with the boycott. A few creators argue that no one deserves leaked videos, full stop. They say revenge porn is wrong whoever the victim is. But the louder voices right now are the ones refusing sympathy.
She earned the nickname “TikTok Drama Queen” for speaking out on relationships and calling people out. That style won her hundreds of thousands of followers, but it also made enemies.
Captain Samir has stayed mostly quiet. He lives in the US now and got married recently. In earlier statements, he denied leaking anything and said he wants to move on. The back-and-forth between them has played out publicly for months, from breakup accusations to paternity rumours.
Victims struggle to get content removed, and police investigations move slowly. Women’s groups have spoken about the need for stronger laws.
Hannah has gone quieter since naming Glo and Kiki as possible leakers. She said she has reasons to think they shared the material. Those two haven’t responded publicly. For now, Hannah seems focused on her son. She posted a short update about spending time with him.
The debate continues in comments and duets on TikTok. Some younger users say they feel bad for her as a mother. Older ones repeat the allegations and stand firm. Whatever side people take, the story keeps trending.
Hannah built a big audience by being open and dramatic. Now that openness works against her for many. Time will tell if she addresses the accusations directly or lets them fade.
Kenyan social media moves on quickly to the next thing. But issues like blackmail and privacy stay important. Creators might think twice before sharing too much.
