Rapcha the Sayantist Accuses Mwafreeka of Keeping Brand Deal Money

Rapcha the Sayantist has exposed Mwafreeka of the Iko Nini Podcast, alleging that Mwafreeka was mercilessly squandering money they earned together from brand deals. The comedian and former podcaster went public with his claims in late December 2025, saying Mwafreeka kept most of the earnings from sponsorships without sharing fairly.

Rapcha, whose real name is Francis Kibe, said he helped build the Iko Nini Podcast from the start in 2021. He appeared regularly, especially on weekend updates. Fans credit him for much of the early growth. The channel now has hundreds of thousands of subscribers. Brand deals brought in good money as views rose.

According to Rapcha, problems started when he launched his own podcast, Chizi. He says Mwafreeka felt threatened. Rapcha claims Mwafreeka handled the deals but did not split the cash properly. He felt disrespected on air too, with comments that crossed lines.

The two go back more than 20 years. They worked together on radio and a comedy TV show called Raiyaa on K24 and NTV. Many saw them as close friends. Now that bond looks broken. Rapcha has not appeared on Iko Nini for months.

The fallout first showed publicly in September 2025. Rapcha mocked rapper Khaligraph Jones on the podcast about his clothes and accent. Mwafreeka defended Khaligraph strongly. Some say he spoke harshly to Rapcha live. After that, Rapcha stopped coming.

Mwafreeka has blamed fans for stirring trouble. He said online comments pushed Rapcha away. In interviews, Mwafreeka downplayed the money issues. He focused on other disagreements.

Fans noticed the change right away. Many miss the old lineup with Rapcha, Mwafreeka, Ian, and DJ Zaq. Comments on videos ask when Rapcha will return. Some side with Rapcha, saying he carried the show. Others support Mwafreeka as the main host.

Iko Nini keeps running episodes. Recent ones cover politics, entertainment, and guests. Views stay high, but some say it feels different without Rapcha’s humour.

Rapcha focuses on Chizi Podcast and his stand-up shows. His Raw n Unkut series sells tickets fast. He talks about the split in clips but avoids full details sometimes.

Money disputes happen often in partnerships. Podcasts rely on ads, sponsorships, and YouTube earnings. Clear agreements help avoid fights. Here, no one shared contracts publicly.

Both men built careers in Kenyan media. Mwafreeka, real name Makarios Ouma, came from hip-hop and radio. Rapcha started as a rapper too, then moved to comedy and hosting.

As 2026 begins, there is no sign of makeup. Rapcha’s recent posts suggest he moved on. Fans hope for peace, but the friendship seems over.

This kind of public split draws attention. It shows challenges behind popular shows. Listeners enjoy the content but rarely see the business side.

For now, each runs separate platforms. Iko Nini continues weekly. Chizi grows steadily. Kenyan podcast fans have choices.

Stories like this remind creators to handle money openly. Long friendships can end over small issues that build up. People watch for updates. A joint appearance would surprise many. Until then, the two stay apart.
