Why are UDA politicians purchasing helicopters at a faster rate?

Why do UDA politicians now buy helicopters and abandon the use of private cars? According to sources, the politicians have a target and know they will milk taxpayers to death.

“I used to work as an in-house counsel, and let me tell you, these politicians with choppers are eating big from the government,” according to sources.

“You wonder why UDA-affiliated politicians and businessmen are rushing to buy choppers?

“They discovered that they could hire choppers for senior government leaders and increase the number of trips by two or three.”

“Hiring a chopper is around Ksh 100-200k per day,” added the sources at Wilson Airport.

Imagine two fictitious trips that occur four days a week, each costing upwards of Ksh 1 million per chopper. These expenses are funded by the various parastatals and parliaments.

And that is why the government’s budget for travel and allowances last year exceeded Ksh 18 billion.
