Purity Kendi Summoned by Police Over Terence Creative Rape Claims

Purity Kendi has been summoned by police after Terence Creative reported her for defamation. The case has gripped many Kenyans following her public allegations that the popular comedian raped her at her workplace.

Purity Kendi, who works at Kellssy Spa, came forward with a painful story. She says the incident happened while she was giving Terence Creative a massage. She described the alleged attack in detail and shared it publicly in hopes of getting support.

Since then she has received messages of encouragement from thousands of Kenyans. In her latest statement she thanked everyone who stood by her and urged other victims to speak their truth and seek justice.

That’s when Terence Creative decided to fight back through the law, and things took a sharp turn. He reported Purity Kendi to the police, claiming that her utterances are false publications.

The case is filed under Section 22(1)(d) of the Computer Misuse and Cybercrimes Act, 2018. Purity has therefore been summoned to appear at Kiambu Police Station on Thursday, 30th April 2026.

The news has caused heated debates on social media. Many of those who first supported Purity now wonder what’s next. Others wonder whether it was wise to go public with such serious allegations or if it has only landed her in more trouble.

Terence’s supporters, “Everyone has a right to be heard, and false accusations can ruin lives and reputations,” creatives say. The divergence of opinion reflects the strong feelings that this tale has provoked among ordinary Kenyans.

Purity Kendi maintains that she is telling the truth and wants the matter investigated properly. She says she decided to speak out because she hoped the public would stand with her against what she calls a malicious case. Her bravery in sharing such a personal and difficult experience has touched many women who have gone through similar situations but stayed silent.

At the same time legal experts point out that once a complaint is filed under the cybercrimes law, the police must look into it regardless of public opinion.

This case puts a spotlight on two important issues. First is the serious matter of sexual assault in workplaces and how victims find the courage to report it. Second is the growing use of defamation laws when public accusations are made. Many observers say the coming days will be critical. The police investigation could either clear one side or lead to more complications for both.

For now Purity Kendi continues to receive messages of solidarity from Kenyans who believe her side of the story. She has not hidden her emotions and has openly thanked those who have encouraged her to stay strong.

On the other side, Terence Creative has not made many public comments beyond the police report. His fans are also active online defending his character and asking people to wait for the full facts before passing judgement.

The summons on Thursday means the story is far from over. Purity Kendi will have to appear at Kiambu Police Station and answer questions about her claims.

Whatever the final outcome, both Purity Kendi and Terence Creative now find their names tied together in a very public and painful chapter. One is fighting to be believed while the other is fighting to clear his name. The rest of Kenya will be watching closely as the police take their next steps after the summons on April 30.
