"We already have a presidential candidate, we are now looking for a running mate, " said Former Machakos Senator Johnstone Muthama. Ukambani politics have taken shape after former Vice President Kalonzo Musyoka announce to go the country top seat.

Wiper party leader Kalonzo Musyoka has said that he will not beg for political support from opposition leader Raila Odinga in his quest to be President in the 2022 general elections.

Addressing mourners during the burial of Machakos member of Parliament Joyce Kamene’s father, Mr David Makumbi, Mr Kalonzo said he was ready to fight it out with his opponents without asking ‘to be backed’ for the top seat.

" I will not beg for support from anybody including Raila, Wetangula or even Uhuru Kenyatta. Wiper will go to the ballot. I will be contesting for this country top seat. I don't need support from the governors or any, but I will only work with them, " Musyoka said.

Among the leaders were former Machakos Senator Johnstone Muthama, MPs Patrick Makau (Mavoko), Joshua Kimilu (Kaiti) Robert Mbui (Kathiani) and Vincent Musau (Mwala).

"We have been in the cold for long. Kenya is taking a turn. It needs a revolution and Kalonzo Musyoka will be the best candidate for the race, " Hon. Vincent Musau said.
