Mombasa governor Hassan Joho gave a waiver to pending hospital bills for patients around the county public hospitals. It was launched at the Coast General Hospital with Mvita Constituency.
The governor authorized a complete waiver of hospital bills for all patients who have been discharged but have not been released because of non-payment of bills at the Coast General Teaching and Referral Hospital.
This is in line with our tradition of assisting the less fortunate during Jamhuri day celebrations.
This directive facilitated the release of 64 patients who will now have an opportunity of spending the holiday festivities with their families and friends. Also present during the release of the patients was Hon. Abdulswamad Shariff Nassir the Mvita Member of Parliament.
As we commemorate this auspicious occasion, let us also honor and appreciate the sacrifices of our founding fathers by promoting cohesion and peaceful coexistence.
