Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) had gone for Keroche’s accounts to freeze the brewer’s Equity Bank accounts until the Sh9.1 billion tax demand is paid in full. Reports say there is another giant Danish company that wants to set multi-Billion brewing company in Naivasha.

KRA’s move followed a Tax Appeals Tribunal ruling that dismissed Keroche’s appeals challenging the levying of excise duty on an alcoholic drink produced at the brewer’s Naivasha factory.

However, the Keroche troubles happen after a Danish Brewing Industry leased in Naivasha that will set up a Sh 4 Billion brewing plant. The brewer will be producing Tuborg, Carlsberg, Holsten, and Kronenbourg beers.

The Keroche troubles are said to be sponsored by top government individuals who want to kick out the brewery to give space to the multi-national Danish brewing company.
