KRA’s move followed a Tax Appeals Tribunal ruling that dismissed Keroche’s appeals challenging the levying of excise duty on an alcoholic drink produced at the brewer’s Naivasha factory.

However, the Keroche troubles happen after a Danish Brewing Industry leased in Naivasha that will set up a Sh 4 Billion brewing plant. The brewer will be producing Tuborg, Carlsberg, Holsten, and Kronenbourg beers.
The Keroche troubles are said to be sponsored by top government individuals who want to kick out the brewery to give space to the multi-national Danish brewing company.
