Three sons stabbed their father to death over coffee farm management dispute in Kebeneti village in Kipkelion West Sub-county, Kericho County.


Liloch location Chief Joshua Tonui established the incident saying the sons recognised as Bernard Korir (40), Joshua Korir (20) and Ezra Korir (15) killed their father, James Langat by attacking him with crude weapons.


The local administrator said the father and the sons had disagreed over the administration of their coffee farm and returns.


He said the sons defied their father and a fight resulted, the sons descended on their father, beating and hitting him with stones, killing him instantly.


The mother to the three sons raised an alarm, pulling other villagers who raced to the commotion to settle life scores. They attempted to rescue the deceased but he had already died.


The conflict was reported at Kipkelion Police Station where police officers rushed to the scene and took the body to Kericho Sub-county Hospital mortuary.


After perpetrating the cruel act, the sons tried to escape but villagers held them and handed them over to the Police. They were taken to Kipkelion Police Station where they are held while awaiting to be arraigned.
